PromoStandards is the promotional products industry’s open API standard. Of the 1,031 suppliers in its public registry, 583 list at least one live API. Far fewer let a distributor follow an order after it’s placed: 158 publish Order Status and 140 publish both Order Status and Ship Notice.

Methodology

Every night we download the company list and each supplier’s endpoint list from the public PromoStandards web service registry. Counts are of companies whose registry type is “Supplier”. Placeholder entries (for example “DO NOT USE”) and vendor test accounts are excluded.

A supplier counts for a service if it lists at least one endpoint for it, in any review status (Production, In Review or Waiting For Review). Most listed endpoints are in Production. Where a supplier lists several versions, the version breakdown uses its newest version in Production, or its newest listed version if none is in Production yet.

The registry says what a supplier supports, not how well it works or whether your account can use it. Distributors still need credentials from each supplier. Numbers are rounded to whole percentages. Last synced October 16, 2026 at 3:32 AM UTC.
